Dear Partner,

Course Name: Application of LEAN Fundamentals to the Efficient Management of Non-profit Organizations
Date: 22nd -24th June 2016
Venue: Nairobi, Kenya
Need for the seminar
“Obviously, the highest type of efficiency is that which can utilize existing material to the best advantage”. Jawaharlal Nehru
NGOs play a vital role in supporting development of communities. Indeed, in some contexts, NGOs are the only providers of critical social services. However, with the ever increasing prospects of decreasing revenues arising from diminishing international assistance, how funds are spent will have an enormous impact on the lives of beneficiaries and ultimately determine the success of programs and organizations. Needless to say, inefficiently utilized resources fail to mitigate the conditions for which the resource were given and undermines the credibility of the organization.
Every organization, whether large or small, having low or high efficiency levels, will benefit from hints and tips for improving efficiency in resource utilization. Improving the performance of internal processes to curtail inefficiencies will greatly impact on the ability of organizations to enhance the quality and extend quantity of their outreach
In response to the above needs, Asset Africa has organized a three day seminar for middle to higher level organization staff on to how to apply the LEAN methodology to reduce inefficiencies, reduce operational cost, and lower the total cost of implementing development programs thus increasing revenue streams for the organization. In reality, for organizations working with reducing budgets but widening scope of targets, the LEAN methodology is what you need to radically improve on your operations and produce more and better with less!
This is a practical, highly interactive, value adding and results oriented seminar which helps you identify new strategies for optimization of efficiencies to release resources to core program activities and guarantee value for money to your funders/beneficiaries/governments/publics. What is more, by the end of the seminar, you will have your own LEAN template to apply to your organization’s internal processes upon return to work.
